Bud Cary, MBA, Senior Consultant, Start-up, M&A, and Operations
Bud is a seasoned senior executive with significant experience working with small to mid-sized organizations to define and execute strategic and tactical actions to drive sustainable growth, improve profitability and cash flow, and implement ERP and financial systems. He also acts as advisor in new ventures and business development projects. Bud recently assisted a PBS client in the clean-tech space working on venture development.
Bud has significant general management consulting, integrating the strategy, business structuring, M&A and Investment analysis and integration, business performance, customer/product line profitability and process improvement and ERP, and business intelligence and decision making system design and implementation across a wide variety of privately held manufacturing, distribution and service industries, as well as non-profit and governmental agencies.
He was formerly the Director of the Value Creation service line for Deloitte’s Mid Atlantic region, middle market consulting practice and earlier served as Director of Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis and Director of IT for a global manufacturer of glass products with plants in the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Brazil and Australia.
His experience in new venture and business development includes creation of new venture concepts, strategic partnering, investor presentations, early stage capital raise, project financing, joint venture and partnering negotiations, and management of commercial development projects. Bud has acted in the roles of advisor to, partner and leader of a variety of new venture development projects including bio-energy facilities, cellulosic energy technology development ventures, solar energy and biomass feedstock (amongst others) supply strategy and project development.
He received his BA in English Literature from Colgate University and earned his MBA from the Wharton School. Bud enjoys any activity that involves being on or in the water or biking.
